MIRAGE TENT


A new vision in tent design comes from recycling construction scrim. A simple stitched cube of this perforated material hung from purlins of a temporary double car garage.

MAIN STREET REVITALIZATION

Revitalizing the main streets in Tamworth through signage and restoring the art deco station with thermal windows to showcase a 1936 Jaguar.

ART & DECOR

Tire tapestries from retread, automans from tires and recycled woollen jackets, seats using rims and hubs,  iMac hanging light with antique ice tongs, sub woofer from stock car tire and inner tube, lamps from local stone, sap buckets, pond liner and  collected leaves, mirrors from tire sidewalls and found golf balls.

TEMPIETTO LUNA

Outhouse temple made of repurposed and natural materials: conveyor belt trimmings, assorted tire sidewalls, aluminum exhaust flange, pool filtre, Lake Ontario stone, chimney cap, mailbox, sap bucket, wood, solar spot lights.

ROLLING CABIN

Single  room rolling cabin built at Bon Eco Design and pulled to our Salmon River property in Tamworth. Recycled trailer, windows, doors, wood floor and siding. Built in fireplace and solar lighting.

BAG PROJECT

FOOD ART

Collaborating with Jo-Anne Laverty from The Kitchen at White Lake, ON. The offal, or organs, are generally considered waste of the meat business. We choose to celebrate the delicious kidney, liver, heart and stomach with some tongue in cheek.

L&A DARK SKY PLATFORM

An astronomical viewing platform designed with Canadian Astronomer Terrence Dickinson (author of Nightwatch).  L&A Dark Sky Viewing Area is Ontario's most southerly dark sky preserve. The raven points to astronomical north.

ANIMAL ENRICHMENT DEVICES

As the debate around animals in captivity continues, humans keep animals in cages for scientific research, protection from extinction and entertainment. Every medical procedure, drug and vaccine are tested on non-human primates such as baboons, chimps and macaques.  Enrichment devices can help alleviate boredom and stress from confinement.
